It’s been about three weeks of unpacking, settling in, and figuring out our new normal in our new house. And it’s been so exciting!
We moved in on a Friday/Saturday, Jude got his tonsils out that Monday, and then had about a week of recovery. We are so blessed to have friends and family come and help us move and unpack and comfort Jude as he got home from surgery, and couldn’t have done it without them! A whirl-wind move for sure!
Our house has a space for an office and I’m so excited to have my painting stuff out from the closets and drawers I stuck all my supplies in before. There are some built-in shelves and space to have a table to do sewing and painting! I started a few new projects so far in there and it’s nice to just take my things out and leave them out mid-project if I need to. I’m loving it so far!
Before doing any major projects or painting, we are going to try and live in the space a while first. Make sure we know exactly what we want to do and prioritize what needs to happen when. Matt’s gearing up for the start of school, and we are all gearing up for this third baby boy coming at the end of October. So there is plenty to be prepping and figuring out as we head into this new season of life with three little boys!
More to come on the house, our spaces, and what our plans are! But for now I’m just happy to have wifi back in our house! Our first three weeks were filled with no wifi since there was a long waiting list to have someone come out and connect it for us. So we only had quick trips to the library to research and order things for the house. You never realize how much you use the internet until you have limited access!
So if you need me, I’ll be cleaning and organizing and thinking through all the possibilities for this house! Especially in the boys room- I want them to feel settled and love their space right away, so I’ll probably have their shared bedroom finished first and I can’t wait!
