Any other Parks and Rec fans out there? Galentine’s Day is one of Leslie Knope’s favorite holidays, and that makes Galentine’s Day even better. What is it, you ask?
Oh it’s only the best day of the year. Every February 13th, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it, breakfast-style. Ladies celebrating ladies. – Leslie Knope
If you’re local to Lexington, I’ve got a few ways to help you celebrate Galentine’s Day. And even if you aren’t local, there’s plenty of other things you can do for Galentine’s Day- go out for drinks and appetizers, give each other chocolates, have a PJ night and stay in! But if you do feel like going out, here’s some ready-made events for you to check out!
February 13th, 6:00pm – 9:00pm
Come out to The Barrel House in downtown Lexington for a fun night out with your friends! There will be some food trucks, cash bar, and plenty of vendors for good shopping! I’ll be all set up with Bluegrass Burlap with some new items available that aren’t even in my shop yet! Get all the details here!
February 10th, 1:00pm – 5:00pm
There will be Valentine’s Day drinks and specials, free yoga classes, a free braid bar and makeup bar, photo booth, and even a craft station to make Valentine’s Day cards for kids! So fun! There will be plenty to do, so pop in and check it out with your family and your friends!
So what are your plans? Have you celebrated Galentine’s Day before? Maybe this is the year you start making it a new tradition!
