Some times a little bit of sprucing is needed around the house. Little projects that I can do when the boys are asleep for the night and I can easily start and finish in one evening. That’s how these little wrapped canvases were transformed into something a little different!
I’ve had these canvases wrapped in fabric for about three years. I wanted to change the giraffe print fabric and do something less busy. So I just went with what I had in the house and painted something new!
Here is the before picture. Now, there are three of them total: one bigger canvas in the middle and two smaller ones on the side. But since we had some work done in our master bathroom, one feel off with all the banging and sawing that happened in there…. and I never hung it back up. It was about two weeks, with one canvas laying behind our headboard. I’m just being honest here.
As you can tell, it really needed some help! So I took all three down and started taking the staples out of the canvas to pull the fabric off. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be! I used a flathead screwdriver to pull out those staples and it worked like a charm.
I just took those staples out and pulled the fabric off. Then I had three blank canvases that were white and looked brand new! Then I got to work on painting each one – it was a lot of fun to sit at the kitchen table with some music and just go to town! The after was a good change and I’m liking the cleaner look.
Wickett had to get into the photos and act all cute, so I had to keep her in them! It’s made a good change and it’s nice to have something a little different in there! And with supplies I already had at the house! Win-win!
