There’s a few blogs I follow that do a little chit chat called Coffee Conversations, where they just chat as if we were sitting over coffee and giving each other little tidbits of life lately. It’s a Wednesday and I’m actually at a coffee shop right now, sipping my cold brew and getting some stuff done. So, let’s grab a cup of coffee and get to it!
Since my hubs is a teacher, he has a flexible summer and is able to stay at home with them while I sneak away a little bit. It’s a great setup and I’m so thankful for how involved he is as a dad. I remember when we were dating and watching him work with kids and how impressed I was. One day I knew I wanted to be a mom and seeing him love on our friends’ kids was just another tick in the pro column.
Cousin love is such a fun thing to witness! We recently took a trip to Chicago to visit Matt’s sister and her family. Jude is getting to the age where he is actually playing more with kids as opposed to just next to them. And watching his little relationship with his older cousin grow has been a joy. Growing up my cousins were a big part of my life, so it gives my heart little flutters when I see the same thing happening with Jude and Benji.
Speaking of Benji, he will turn one on Friday. FRIDAY. I can’t.
Have you been to the pool yet this summer? We’ve been a few times and it’s a hectic, wet, messy, crazy adventure and I love it. I’m thankful that we have several friends that go to the same pool we do! Extra hands is always a must when there is more than one kid involved with water.
Summer time means baseball games. We have already been to two with the boys and it’s been a blast. It’s something that Matt and I did before kids, so it’s fun to do it now with them in tow. Granted, it’s a totally different experience with littles, but still fun.
Parks parks parks. We’ve been all about the parks in this sunny weather.
And working out. We are working out throughout this summer and I’m excited to also be focusing on food planning and prepping this summer. I’ve been journaling everything that I eat and drink, and it’s keeping me accountable for all the things. Isn’t it so easy to loose track of what we eat, especially during the summer?
Our master bathroom is ripped open and is getting a renovation and I’m so excited about it! We hired someone to tackle this transformation, and thank goodness we did because he has run into a few surprises that I’m not sure Matt and I could have handled on our own! I’ll have a separate post on the whole process when it is finished! I’m excited to see all the design choices we’ve made come together in a fabulous master bathroom!
Whew! Happy Wednesday! We will chat soon!
