There are about a million Valentine’s Day round-ups you can find on every other blog, covered in red and pink and trimmed in hearts. So instead of reinventing the wheel and giving you another Valentine’s Day gift list, I decided to pull from my own life and of other momma’s I know to give you what Valentine’s Day looks like when you’re a parent.
Being a parent is 100% what I want to be. There is no way I would change that on Valentine’s Day, or any other day! And I love how our special days have evolved from just Matt and I to a family event!
For instance, this past weekend our church put on a family day date where parents can drop their kids off ages 2 and older for a few hours and have an early Valentine’s day date! How fun! So we dropped Jude off and had a few hours toddler-free…. and what did we do? We rented a carpet cleaner and cleaned all our carpets in the house! And that’s romantic to me and exactly what I wanted for Valentine’s Day!
Matt also watched the boys all Sunday afternoon so I could go shopping with two of my girlfriends from college, so that was pretty awesome too. Here are other quick and easy ideas you can do as a family, or once your kids are in bed!
Happy Valentine’s Day- I can’t wait to hear what y’all have been up to!
