And that’s a wrap of the weekend! And just like that we are only a week and a half away from Thanksgiving! Every year, time speeds up after Halloween and I need to remember that. I’m entering this week a little sleep deprived, but with a full heart. Sweet Benji isn’t sleeping much which makes everything a little more challenging, but we’re still standing!
We started off the morning with a great workout. My friend Hannah and I taught a Stroller Strides class together since she just turned 30, so we did a fun class to celebrate her birthday. There was also a fun playdate afterward– a nature scavenger hunt. If you haven’t done anything like this before, you should try it with your kids! Easy and free! Just print off a list of things in nature you want your kids to look for, and then walk around with a paper bag and fill it with what you find!
After class, we came home and I snuck in a nap while Matt walked Benji in the Moby wrap around the neighborhood. I got an hour in and felt good! I headed off to kroger with Benji while Matt and Jude had some time together at the park.
Matt is helping with the sound board at church, so he left early and me and the boys met him there for first service. This was the first week that I dropped Jude off in his class at church and he didn’t cry. I was so proud of him! Normally we drop him off and he is upset for 10 minutes or so, and then calms down until I pick him up and all his emotions flood back. But this week he didn’t cry at the drop off or the pick up!
I wore stripes and leopard to church, partly because I like to mix patterns, and partly because I have a limited wardrobe at the moment as to what items fit. But it turned out to be a good outfit – easy to take off my cardigan when I’m too hot, and flats to slip off when my feet get hot. Crazy how I can be super hot and then super cold from one minute to the next.
We were able to have some family time at the house, time outside of the house, and naps. So how could that be a bad weekend? Hope yours was filled with some good memories! Stop by tomorrow and see how I’m making my iced coffee at home just like my Starbucks order!
