Monday is here again, and we are ready to tackle the week. We had a great weekend of hanging out with the family and doing a few things around the house. It was a perfect weekend of fall weather, and being outside soaking up the warm sun on those cool days were perfection!
Friday morning started out with a great workout with Stroller Strides. It always feels good to start the weekend off right with some exercise, sweat, and time with other mommas. We always have fun together!
Friday night was a low key one, eating at home and playing outside. We did a little bit of yard work and house work so we could enjoy all of Saturday and Sunday without much work!
We started our Saturday early, eating breakfast together and playing before we packed up to head to Evan’s Orchard in Georgetown, KY. It’s a great orchard with lots to do with kids- including a play area, pumpkin patch, country store, animals to feed, and ponies to ride. It was so much fun and we ended up staying almost four hours!
Needless to say, Jude was exhausted after our morning of adventure and he slept well once we got home! I did some food shopping and things around the house while he napped. The afternoon was filled with playing at the house, a little more yard work, and hanging out together.
Blueberry pancakes were in order for breakfast Sunday morning, and they were deLISH. I will post my egg-free pancake recipe soon. It is one we make almost every weekend for a special breakfast. It’s so easy to whip up and you can add any fruit or toppings you want. YUM.
We walked to church in the nice fall weather that morning, and came home in time for lunch and some play time before naps for Jude and Benji…. and mommy. I fell asleep on the couch with Benji in my arms, because he likes to sleep with us rather than by himself. And he won’t be little forever, so I did it!
Once Jude woke up, we packed the crew up again to head out to a park that was holding a Fire Prevention Fair. There were a TON of trucks- fire trucks, garbage trucks, helicopters, fire hoses to spray, free food, ambulances, and more! Jude had a blast climbing up on them and steering. It was a great free even for us all to go to and enjoy.
We stayed until about 6:30pm and then it was time to head back home and wrap up our evening. We had a blast doing all these activities around town; it was a perfect weekend of productivity and fun. I wish the weekend was longer! Hope yours was great, too!
