It’s hard to find good indoor activities to do with young children when it’s cold outside! We’ve done a variety of things this winter, me and Jude; including library playtime, the mall indoor playground, hosting playdates, going to other playdates. These are great options! Especially having another mom and her kids over. It’s nice to let the kids play, have some girltalk, and enjoy someone else’s company.
But recently a group of us went to an open gym at Gymboree. There’s a location about 10 minutes from our house and it’s a great place to let your kids play and interact with other kids. The whole place is kid-friendly! Which is a mom’s dream come true. Things to climb on, climb through, room to twirl around, balls to throw into a hoop. SO many things..
There were just a few times when the class worker did small group games, which was really fun. She’d change the music and start blowing bubbles and the kids would just start flocking to her. Or she would play a game where they all play and dance when the music plays, and then have to freeze when the music pauses. It’s just enough structure to keep those kids excited!
We had a great time! Head over to their website to see if there is a location near you!
Also- can you tell Jude’s hair is growing and is absolutely wild?! Yikes. It just can’t be contained. But I don’t want to cut it either because then he will look so much older! Anyone else have that problem?
