Do you guys follow me on Pinterest? If you do, you’ve seen my pins to the My Style board lately. And I’m trying to replicate some of these styles. The most recent that has caught my eye is this lovely ensemble:
So where can you purchase these staple items for your wardrobe? I’ve rounded up some options below!
Sometimes I feel like I’m still in high school when I say this: my first place I look for jeans is American Eagle. I can’t help it. The fit is great, there are a ton of choices, and sometimes the sales are a perfect time to scoop up a few pairs. And the above ankle jeggings are perfect for this look.
Tight on bottom, loose on top. Tight on top, loose on the bottom. One of the most simple fashion rules I stick to. With tight jeans or pants, make sure the top you’re wearing is looser. And vice-versa. If your top is a little on the tight or fitted side, opt for a little looser pant.
Ahhh, blanket scarves. I have yet to purchase one, buy my sister has an amazing one that she wears a lot and I’m starting to see the versatility. This one above from Asos looks cozy and lovely and perfect to pair with any sweater, jacket, or long sleeve.
I have one part of slip-on original Tom’s in navy and love them. They are on frequent rotation and I never tire of wearing them. So I searched for some booties of theirs and found these gems! ADORABLE. And I’m sure super comfy to wear. The wedge seems like a perfect height to add a little interest.
This flowly long sleeve top is perfect for this outfit. It’s long enough to have good coverage when wearing those tight pants. I have a similar version in short sleeves from the same shop, one in black and one in white. They are on constant rotation right now!
All these pieces together almost exactly mimic the inspiration photo! But they would also be great staple pieces to use with other items you might already have in your closet. Here are a few more outfits I’m trying to pull together for myself with things I already own:
