I took a crazy step right before Christmas and got my hair chopped off. I had always wanted to donate my hair but never had enough. But this time I did! My hairdresser measured and assured me I had enough!
Atea Salon is located near downtown Lexington and has a great vibe. There is easy parking and they are welcoming as soon as you step in their door. I’ve been once before and Bonnie did a great cut on my long hair. But this time I went in with the idea of chopping it all off, and she was down with the drastic change as soon as she heard my plan.
Bonnie was even kind enough to take some before and after pictures for me! Keep in mind that my hair hadn’t been washed in two days and I worked out that morning and had no time to wash it before the appointment. Brace yourselves.
And then Bonnie pulled it back into a ponytail and chopped it off before we even washed it. I was nervous, but there was no going back! It’s hair, it will grow! AFTER!
I asked Bonnie for a blunt cut, not much layering. Since my hair is thin she used a razor and made some texture in the back so it didn’t just lay flat. I was nervous this would make my hair look even thinner, but it didn’t! It added movement and volume, and I need all I can get.
I even had my sister go to Bonnie and have her hair cut and she loved her cut too! So if you are local and you need a hairdresser, check her out at Atea Salon!
