Last week I was able to celebrate the soon-to-be arrival of my friend’s baby girl. She has a son who is about two, and her daughter is due December 30th! HOW EXCITING. Another girlfriend and I got together as much gold and pink as we could stand, and threw a small shower for her and her baby girl. So. fun.
Sugar and spice, and everything nice. That was kinda our jumping board for this shower. It’s a common phrase, but I seemed to have trouble remembering it when we were shopping for supplies…
“Sweet and spicy, and everything….nicey?”
“Sugar and sweet and all things neat?”
“Sweet and sour and everything girl power!”
Anyway, we kept things simple. Our inspiration were these gold and pink plates, which we accidentally left at home… But everything else meshed very nicely!
You know me and my poufs. I just love them! And it’s such an easy way to add color and some spunk. Learn how to make them here. I actually looked them up on my own blog because I forgot a few small details on how to get them going….
Thanks ladies for a fun time! It was a great few hours of eating, chatting, and sitting on a comfy new couch without kids to worry about or dishes to clean up. It was really a great and relaxing celebration!
