This past seven days was week two in the Declutter Challenge and we tackled the kitchen. Whew- it was a good week.
My biggest overhaul was my pantry. It’s just a small little pantry to the right of my fridge, but somehow it still gets cluttered with items I don’t necessarily need or use regularly. I was able to organize and clean up the shelves and now am able to reach for items used daily very easily. Now it is much easier to see what food items I am still missing for the next time I go food shopping!
I didn’t take too many pictures of my kitchen, because the before and after doesn’t show up too well in pictures. BUT- I did pull together some inspirational kitchens that helped me along this past week. Nothing like motivational pictures to getcha going!
You might already know this, but I am hooked on gray! I have painted a lot of my walls gray, and never even thought about painting the cabinets gray! There are items on the counters for items used daily, but it doesn’t look cluttered.
I mean, is this not genius?! Take a look around her whole pantry remodel. She uses some great household items to organize her pantry.
I still love my hanging fruit baskets and this idea is similar, but for other items like onion and potatoes. It adds an element of design while being practical.
And now on to another week of cleaning and decluttering! Here we come, living room and office area! Watch out!
