One of my favorite blogs, The Daybook, takes stock every so often and I have come to look forward to when she does. So I decided to follow suit and see if I have any interesting stock to share, too.
Making: hot chocolate with TONS of mini marshmellows
Cooking: Pumpkin Chip Cookies, from the Olsen side of things
Drinking: Cranberry juice mixed with Canada Dry. Notice I say Canada Dry, and not just ginger ale. In my family, there is a big difference and you better not get confused on which one is better.
Reading: “W is for Wasted” by Sue Grafton. My mom got me hooked on these novels. And yes, the series started at “A is for…” and yes, I have read them all.
Wanting: To be warm again! What is it with this chilly air we have?
Looking: for time to be quiet. When did all this hustle and bustle get so loud?
Playing: Christmas music. From now until a little after Christmas day, it will be Christmas music 24/7.
Wasting: cherry chapstick. I am addicted probably in an unhealthy way, and I use it every chance I get.
Sewing: nothing. I wish that was a different answer. I have plans, oh, do I have sewing plans.
Wishing: to be warm. Are you seeing a pattern here?
Enjoying: time with family. How fun to have Thanksgiving and Christmas break so close together! As do most married couples do, we are switching back and forth from family to family on these holidays and boy, does it get fun.
Waiting: for summer. It’s true. I want my sandals back.
Liking: the prospect of a snow day! And I thought I liked those when I was a student. It’s even better now that I work in a school.
Wondering: if owning a house ever gets easier. Does the to-do list ever get smaller?!
Loving: the hub’s new haircut.
Hoping: to see some new things happen this new year.
Needing: some gloves or mittens. Man, my hands get cold!
Smelling: peppermint, and not in an overwhelming way either. Just a little hint of peppermint since I took out my huge Christmas peppermint candle that has lasted me three years so far.
Wearing: pj’s. Who doesn’t love flannel pj’s?
Following: new blogs, new websites, small businesses.
Noticing: how the small things in life just make my heart happy.
Knowing: there is going to be a new year coming up where I can make new lists and have new calendars and just NEW.
Thinking: how in the world are we going to hang our Christmas lights outside?! This will be the first year hanging lights and I just know there will be a funny story to tell after that escapade.
Feeling: loved. Did you know that my hubs surprised me by celebrating our 2,000th day of marriage? Oh yes, he did. Flowers sent to work, necklace purchased, and fancy dinner consumed. What a great surprise that was.
Bookmarking: ? Am I supposed to know what to do with this?
Opening: pickle jars. LOVE pickles.
Giggling: with my sister. On the drive up to my parent’s house for Thanksgiving, we played pictionary on the condensation of the car windows. Hilarious.
Feeling: ready to tackle Christmas wrapping. I have the supplies purchased and ready to go.
