Matt would be the first to tell ya, or maybe it would be me, that I LOVE the sun- I like it warm and toasty outside, my favorite season is summer, I want to be involved with whatever involves being in the sun. But as Wickett and I were walking this afternoon, I wondered if I would love the warm as much as I do if it never got cold here in Lexington. I am a wimp when it comes to the weather getting colder. I start bundling up as soon it hits below 90 degrees.
Pumpkins are starting to come to the curbs, carved and smiling, crunchy leaves cover most of the sidewalks and lawns, and bright, vivid colors are all around on trees and bushes. Today the sun is still shining, even though it isn’t summer. And (I hate to admit it) but I am beginning to enjoy fall, the change of seasons, the change of pace, the change of wardrobe. It’s refreshing and lets me really enjoy summer when it rolls back around, like it always does.
So welcome to the neighborhood, Fall. It’s good to see you.
