So the other weekend I got to experience food trucks for the first time. I feel a little lame-o and out of date that I haven’t eaten at a food truck until now, but I decided to jump on the boat and give it a shot.
Two of my girlfriends and I were hanging out, drinking coffee, eating, shopping vintage things, drinking coffee, and eating some more. All in all, a great girls day. And this is when I was introduced to Pizza Bomba. Delicious.
I was starving and a little shaky from all the coffee I had already consumed that morning. So when the truck came into view and saw the steam rising out of the ordering window, I knew it was the one. Sounds a little like a love story, but that’s because it kinda was.
Once we ate our yummy food truck food, we ventured into the main attraction. It didn’t look like much from the outside, but inside was jumping- a pounding DJ, tons of booths set up, coffee counters, and people milling about. We spent our time inside looking at all the neat vintage clothes, suitcases, hand-made jewelry, crafts, homemade granola, and plates.
Once we thoroughly looked through every booth, it was time for a little more java at a new little coffee shop in town we had all wanted to try. They won us over when they handed our drinks to us with a homemade caramel. That was the best little piece of candy I have ever tasted! How come no other coffee shop has thought of this?! Delicious.
The best part of this refreshing day was catching up with those two girls. Thanks ladies for making that such a fun weekend. Who knew we could have so much fun together doing nothing much but hanging around and talking?
