Maine has so many beautiful places. There are lakes and ponds, forests and paths, hiking places for the summer, and snowshoeing places for the winter. It’s been a blast letting Matt take me around his home town, remembering sweet memories as we pass a certain street or see an old neighbor. It’s like he fits in to another place other than our life in Kentucky, and it’s been so cool to see.
We have been hiking up a storm- woodsy paths and paved ones, stopping on the side of the road to see old buildings or historic places. Did you know Maine has the largest model of the solar system? Yup, it’s true. We stopped by Jupiter the other day. All the planets are spaced out (no pun intended) to scale along a road. Each planet is high up on a large rod and if there are moons around the planet, you can see those too. It’s pretty neat. Who knew Maine held the largest model of the solar system?! Crazy cool, kids.
PS- We did another puzzle. I know I said I wasn’t doing anymore, but here we are. Matt’s gram and gramp started it, and Matt and I finished it up the other day. How is it that in the span of 10 minutes I can find one piece and feel successful, and then look over at Matt and he just finished an entire section? It’s a gift that I do not have.
